Kathleen Christina Currie

(née Smith)

British Columbia, Canada and late of Church Street, Cootehill, Cavan

Predeceased by her parents Charlie Smith (Tunnyconnolly) and Kate Smith, nee Brady (Caulfield), husband David, daughter Valerie, brothers Frank and Peter, sisters Mona, Betty, Ira, Attracta and subsequently by her sister Olive on 17th March 2022.

Lovingly remembered by her daughters Colleen and Heather, grandchildren Erin (Kris), Nigel, Alaina (Curtis), Adrian (Kelsey), Caitlin (Clayton) and Jeffrey (Brianne), great grandchildren Nicola, Connor, Evie, Ophelia, Remi and Adaline, sons-in-law David and Kyle and by her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews in Ireland, UK and New Zealand, cousins, relatives and friends.

Brinsley Matthews

Crover, Lough Sheelin, Mountnugent, Cavan

The death has occurred of Brinsley P. Matthews, Crover, Lough Sheelin and Palm Beach, Florida on 4th September 2023, peacefully at his home in Florida.

Brinsley (Paul) son of the late Vincent and Anita Matthews, Crover.

Sadly missed by his sister Linda and his brothers Maurice, Ronan, Vincent, Alan, Denis and Damien.

Jim Nolan (Séamus Ó HUltacháin), Late of Cornagee, Blacklion, Co. Cavan and more recently of McDermott Terrace, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim

​​​​​​​Pre-deceased by his son Fergus, Granddaughter Laoise, Sisters Eileen and Sheila. Jim will be sadly missed by his Wife Maura, Children Deirdre, Ciarán, Dorothy, Brother Patrick, Son-in-law Adam and Deirdre’s partner Paul, Grandchildren Cara, Kyla, Erin, Jackson, Quinn and Reagan, Stepchildren Trevor, Rodney, Carol, Aaron, Wayne, Ryan and their partners and children. Deeply regretted by his wide circle of family and friends.

Jim will repose in Our Lady’s Hospital Chapel, Manorhamilton on Friday evening from 6 to 8pm. Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Killinagh, Blacklion on Saturday at 11am followed by Cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 2.30pm for family and close friends.

Brian Smith, The Grove, Ballyjamesduff peacefully at Esker Lodge Nursing Home. Predeceased by his son Brían, brother PJ, sisters Ettie, Mai and Bridie. Deeply regretted & sadly missed by his loving wife Nellie, sons Norbert (Kate) & Oliver, grandchildren Gavin & Cian, sister Sr. Anna and brother Pascal, sisters in law Alice & Nóirín, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Jake Brennan, Lisglasson, Clontibret, Co. Monaghan, cherished son of Carl and Carol, Wednesday, September 20th, tragically following an accident. Jake, predeceased by his grandparents Pat and Mary Brennan, his infant brother Jamie and uncle Aiden Brennan. Deeply regretted and remembered with love by his heart broken family, parents Carl and Carol, sisters Stephanie and Sophie, brother Jayden, grandparents Ivan and Rhoda Graham, aunts, uncles, cousins and his many, many friends.

The death has occurred of Gerard Harte, 10 Bree, Castleblayney, Co.Monaghan. Wednesday September 20th peacefully at the Louth County Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his parents Domnick and Annie, brothers Jim, Patsy, Pete, Johnny and Dominick and sister Mary Alice.

Deeply regretted and remembered with love by his family, partner Sally, daughters Geraldine (Chris), and Sheila, sons Raymond (Lynn), Alan (Daiva) and Damian (Emma) and their mother Sheila, brother Bennie, his cherished grandchildren Shaun, Claire, Keri, Morgan, Joshua and Reese, great grandchildren Luella-Rose, Emelia-Lily, Clay, Conor, Saoirse and Aoibheann, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends

Gerard will repose at his residence on Thursday from 3pm until 8pm and again on Friday from 3pm until 8pm. Removal from his residence on Saturday morning at 10:40am (driving) to arrive at St. Mary’s Church Castleblayney for funeral mass at 11am, followed by private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan.

Sean Meehan

Hyland View, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Formerly Corrabrack, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at his home in Hyland View, in the company of his caring staff and family. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Peggy Meehan and his twin brother Seamus.

Dearly missed by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, staff of Hyland View and wider family circle.

Reposing at his home, Hyland View, Thursday (21/09/2023) privately until 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. at the home of his sister Peggy (Paddy) McCarron, Killydreen, Emyvale, Monaghan (H18WK54)

Removal on Saturday (23/09/2023), arriving at the Sacred Heart Church, Carrickroe for funeral Mass at 11 a.m,

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
