The death has occurred of Carmel Brennan (nee Askin), Lisnalea, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan and formerly of Donagh, Glaslough, Co. Monaghan on the 19th September 2023. Carmel passed away peacefully at her home in the company of her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Elizabeth Askin.

Dearly missed by her loving husband John, daughters Miriam, Claire and Sinead, sons Stephen, Padraig and Paul, daughters-in-law Blaithin, Ruth and Ita, son-in-law Fred, grandchildren Stephen, Kate, Jane, Sarah, Naomi, Jack, Lucia and Austin, sister Bernadette, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Thursday, 21st September, from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Removal from her home on Friday, 22nd September, followed by funeral mass in St. Anne's Church, Bailieborough at 11:30am. Burial afterwards in St. Anne's Cemetery.

Patrick Joseph (Paddy) McCabe

The Forge, Maudabawn, Cootehill, Cavan

Patrick Joseph (Paddy) McCabe formerly The Forge, Maudabawn, Cootehill, Co Cavan and Bermondsey, London, Sunday 27th of August 2023 peacefully at his home in Bermondsey, London. Predeceased by his infant daughter Alison Marie, his parents James and Mary, his brother James, sisters Dymphna, Bridie, Margaret and Catherine. Patrick will be forever loved and sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Dorothy, his son Paul and daughter Clare, his daughter-in-law Emily, his sisters May, Bernie and Joan, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.

Patrick’s funeral cortege will leave his family home (Bermondsey, London) on Wednesday, 27th of September, at 9.45am to arrive at Honor Oak Crematorium, Brockley Way, London at 10.45am for service and cremation.

Brian Smith, The Grove, Ballyjamesduff peacefully at Esker Lodge Nursing Home. Predeceased by his son Brían, brother PJ, sisters Ettie, Mai and Bridie. Deeply regretted & sadly missed by his loving wife Nellie, sons Norbert (Kate) & Oliver, grandchildren Gavin & Cian, sister Sr. Anna and brother Pascal, sisters in law Alice & Nóirín, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Pre deceased by his parents Thomas and Delores and his sister Angela; Sadly missed by his wife Deirdre, daughter Hazel, sons Ciaran and Sean, step daughter Clodagh, step sons Bernard, Aaron, Dylan and Samuel, brothers Raymond and Thomas, sister Bernie, extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, September 21 in St. Monica's Church, Edenmore arriving for 11.30am Mass followed by removal to Hineys Funeral Home, Knockglass, Co. Mayo with prayers on Friday morning, September 22 at 10am followed by burial.

The death has occurred of Andy Grimes, Cooltrimegish, Loughmourne and formerly Corratean, Broomfield, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. Monday, September 18th, suddenly at his residence. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Bridget, infant brother Francis Anthony, sister Mary Moore and brother Harry. Andy deeply regretted and remembered with love by his brothers and sisters, Patrick (Packey), Bernadette O’Flaherty, Kathleen Hughes, Tommy, Alice Kinns and Michael, brother in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Andy will repose at Wards Funeral Home, Castleblayney tomorrow, Wednesday, from 5pm until 8pm. Removal from the funeral home on Thursday morning at 10:30am to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Broomfield for funeral mass at 11am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Philomena Ward. Pearse Avenue, Carrickmacross. 19th September 2023. Peacefully, at her home. Predeceased by her parents Patrick & Annie and her brother Pat.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her beloved family, her sisters Dympna (Denmark) & Mary (Manchester) and her brothers Tom & Vincent, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, friends & neighbours.

Philomena will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Thursday, 21st September, from 4pm until 7pm.

Philomena's funeral cortège will leave the Funeral Home on Friday, 22nd September, at 10:45am proceeding on foot to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
