Alan Martin

Alan Martin, Bridge Street, Cootehill, Co.Cavan died suddenly on September 1st 2023. Beloved son of John and Kathleen and dear Brother to Sean. Predeceased by his Sister Linda Martin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family his heartbroken parents John and Kathleen, his brother Sean, sister-in-law Jeanne, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home this Wednesday evening from 4pm till 8pm. Removal leaving Mullen’s Funeral Home on Thursday morning at 11.30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 12 noon funeral mass. Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Cootehill. Family flowers please, donations in lieu of Cuan Mhuire Coolarne, Co. Galway c/o of Mullen’s Funeral Directors or any family member. Those who would like to attend but cannot do so may leave a message for the family in the condolence section below please.

Brian Smith

58 River Crescent, Virginia, Cavan / Ballinagh, Cavan / Swords, Dublin

Formerly of Swords, Co. Dublin and Aughawelia, Carrigan, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan, unexpectedly but peacefully at his home on 3th September, 2023. Predeceased by his father Tommie. Brian will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, mother Agnes brother Thomas, sister Eilish, sister-in-law Johanne, brother-in-law Denis, nephews Conor, Cathal and Dylan, uncles, aunts, relatives and his many friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Rd., Cavan on Wednesday the 6th from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, 7th of September, at St Mary’s Church, Bruskey at 11.30 am followed by removal to Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd., Cavan for cremation service at 1.30pm. For those who would have liked to attend but can’t, please leave a message in the condolence section below which will be very much appreciated by the family.

The death has occurred of Gerry Duffy, 30 Emmet Street, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully in the tender care of the nurses and palliative care team at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, Tuesday 5th September 2023. Predeceased by his mother Ethel and his wife Christine. Deeply regretted by his son Christopher (Sandra), his grandchildren Amy, Megan, Sinead and Jade, and his good neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Deery's Funeral Home, Carrickmacross (A81 C653) on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning from Deery’s Funeral Home, driving to St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross arriving at 9.50am for Requiem Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Carrickmacross.

Marie Feeley

(née McGuigan)

Greystones, Wicklow / Magheracloone, Monaghan

Marie Feeley (née McGuigan) of Greystones, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Dernascobe, Magheracloone, Co. Monaghan, died peacefully on 4th September, 2023, in the wonderful care of Wicklow Hospice. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Kathleen, sister Madge and brother Jim. Deeply regretted and missed by her loving husband John and sisters Rena Gogarty (Kilmainhamwood), Lily McMahon (Carrickmacross), Agnes Kirrane (Magheracloone), Bernadette McMahon (Carrickmacross) and Bernie McGuigan, brother Pat McGuigan, (Magheracloone), sisters-in-law Bridie Whelan, Joan Boyle and Maura McConnell, brothers-in-law Terence and Brendan Feeley, Bob Gogarty, Pat Kirrane and Sylvester McMahon, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Thursday (7th September) from 10.30am until a Funeral Service in celebration of Marie’s life takes place in the funeral home at 11.30am with committal afterwards in Newlands Cross Crematorium at 1.30pm. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to Wicklow Hospice.
