Elderly man hospitilised following Maghera lorry collision

The driver of the car, a male in his 80s, was transferred to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda for treatment of minor injuries

Gardaí attended the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision in Edenburt, Co. Cavan yesterday afternoon, Monday 5th September 2023.

The collision involving a car and a truck occurred on the Whitegate to Mullagh road at approximately 3:10pm.

The driver of the car, a male in his 80s, was transferred to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda for treatment of minor injuries. There were no other injuries reported.

Enquiries are ongoing.

Gardaí closed the road following the incident, however it has since reopened.
