Annual Loop the Lakes to take place

The annual Loop the Lakes Killeshandra Family Fun Run will take place this Saturday, September 2, from 12 noon.

Participants can choose between two routes - 3.5k/7km - with all proceeds in aid of SOSAD Ireland. Entry costs €15 for adults, €8 for U16s or €40 for a family of two adults and two U16s.

Registration for the race, which is organised by Killeshandra Leaguers, can be done online via the Clubspot app or from Killeshandra Community Centre at 10:30am on the day.

There are plenty of prizes for those who register, or even donate, including a first prize of €500 sponsored by Thomas Brady C/O Martin Shortt Insurance and a second prize of €200 cash sponsored by Cavan Sports Clinic.

Third prize, meanwhile, is a guided Stand-Up Paddle Boarding lesson for up to six people sponsored by The Jolly Paddlers.

Goodie bags will be available for the participants, and refreshments will be provided immediately after the event.

There will also be music on the day, face painting and other activities for the kids.
