PSNI and Gardaí hold joint operation on border road

A Joint Policing Operation was held this weekend in response to recent reports of diffin', doughnuts and drifting on a road along the Fermanagh and Monaghan border.

The PSNI and Clones Gardai staged the operation in the Drummully/Clonagore area.

The N54 intersects the Fermanagh and Monaghan border at a number of points making policing the section more complicated.

This was the first of a series of planned cross border operations in response to a recent increase in complaints from the public regarding dangerous breaches of road traffic legislation and anti-social behaviour in the area.
