Cavan Calling Park Run is on July 29

Cavan Town’s ‘Park Run’ is building up to host a celebratory event to mark its 100th recurrence next month, August 26.

But before that a special run will take place to coincide with the upcoming Cavan Calling, July 29.

The Con Smith Park 5km ‘Park Run’ occurs every week, Saturday mornings, regardless of the weather, from 9.30am.

A free, fun, and friendly weekly community event, participants are invited to walk, jog, run, push the pram, bring the dog, volunteer or simply spectate.

“All you have to do is register once before you first come along,” says Parkrun organiser and coordinator, Kim McCafferty.”

We all take part for our own enjoyment,” says Kim. “Please come along and join in whatever your pace!”

Kim reminds that volunteers to help steward the Con Smith Parkruns are needed.

Park Runs takes place at Con Smith Park, Cathedral Road, H12 E426, and are Free.
