Cavan basketball star leading Ireland's line

Emma Tolan led both teams in stats when Ireland took on Norway.

East Cavan Eagles star Emma Tolan is carrying on her incredible form from the last league and schools season onto the international stage where her performances are grabbing headlines and catching the attention of her peers.

The Virginia native is playing as part of a talented Irish team taking part in the Under-18s FIBA European Youth Championships 'B' Division in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Named All star 5 Home Nations player earlier this year, and a leading light as she helped Virginia College to All Ireland cup and league schools titles, Emma led both teams in in-play stats when Ireland beat Norway Ireland 58-41 Norway on Friday.

Not only did she score an individual 19 points, but Emma managed 12 rebounds, six steals, and four assists to help the Irish team in their hope of securing top spot in their qualifying group.

Ireland take on Great Britain on Sunday morning at 11am.
