Public meeting planned over unused community building
Smith Property listed the property for lease on the instruction of Cavan County Council.
A public meeting will take place to discuss the future use of the unused Tierquin community building at O’Raghallaigh Park, near Cavan Town.
To take place Thursday, July 6, at 7:30pm in the Kesh Bar, it states there “plans are in motion for a not for profit community childcare service” to be installed there, which will operate from the building during weekday, 8am-6pm.
Outside of these hours there is potential for the building to be used by the community for other events such as meetings.
Last year Smith Property and auctioneers in Cavan Town listed the property for lease on the instruction of Cavan County Council.
The large unfurnished childcare facility extends to a total floor size of 183 sq.m.
“Please come along to hear more about the proposed plans for the building and how you can register your interest for a place in the childcare service,” a shared notice states. “We would also love to hear your suggestions about what activities you would like to see happen in the building in the evenings/weekends.”
Interest in attending the meeting can be registered by email to lmcteigue@ccld.ie or by text or WhatsApp on 0879839858.
