Council to host event to mark the 25th anniversary of GFA

Event takes place Tuesday, June 6.

Cavan County Council to host event to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement

The event will begin with a welcome address from Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, Cllr John Paul Feeley followed by a keynote speech from Dr Martin Mansergh, former Fianna Fáil TD for Tipperary South, who played a leading role in developing Fianna Fáil’s policy on Northern Ireland.

There will also be a panel discussion moderated by Mr Ciarán Mullooly with guests; Professor Katy Hayward, Queens University Belfast; Deputy Brendan Smith TD, Fianna Fáil Cavan Monaghan; Mr Johnny O’Hanlon, former editor of The Anglo Celt, Mr Tom Elliott, UUP MLA Fermanagh and South Tyrone and Mr Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin, former Sinn Féin TD Cavan Monaghan.

This event will take place on Tuesday, 6 June in the Townhall, Cavan at 7pm and everyone is welcome to attend.
