Manchester City have beaten Manchester United in the FA Cup Final, thanks in no small part to a brace from Ilkay Gundogan.
City emerged triumphant thanks to Gundogan’s fine volleys in a 2-1 victory that gives Pep Guardiola’s men the chance to emulate United’s 1999 treble heroics next weekend.
United's goal came in the 33rd minute from Bruno Fernandes.
Meanwhile, Barcelona beat Wolfsburg 3-2 in the Women's Champions League final in Eindhoven. Patricia Guijarro netted twice, along with a 70th-minute goal from Fridolina Rolfo to give the Spanish side the win.
Elsewhere, Celtic beat Inverness 3-1 to claim the Scottish Cup.
GAA
Dublin beat Kildare 0-22 to 0-13 at Nowlan Park in Group 3 of the All-Ireland Football Championship.
Meanwhile at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Kerry took a two-point win over neighbours Cork in their Group 1 fixture.
In Group 2, Galway beat Westmeath 0-20 to 0-12, while Tyrone beat Armagh 0-13 0-11.
At Croke Park, Monaghan beat Lancashire to claim the Lory Meagher Cup, 3-22 to 3-20, while Wicklow secured the Nickey Rackard Cup after beating Donegal 1-20 to 3-12.
In the Christy Ring Cup Final, Meath beat Derry 1-23 to 1-21.
Golf
Tom McKibbin is in six-way tie for the lead at the European Open in Hamburg.
The Holywood clubman carded a third round 72 to sit on six-under-par heading into tomorrow's final round.
Formula One
Max Verstappen has claimed his first pole position in Spain and will start tomorrow's grand prix from the front of the grid.
Car issues saw Ferrari's Charles Leclerc out in Q1, leaving him down in 19th, with his teammate Carlos Sainz left to battle at the front on his own after qualifying second.
McLaren's Lando Norris was P3, followed by Alpine's Pierre Gasley, but he'll start back at 10th after picking up two three-place grid penalties for impeding other drivers on his slow laps.
Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton rounds out the top five.
Cricket
Ireland have been defeated by England by 10 wickets on Day 3 of their one-off test at Lord's.
The visitors successfully clawed back a 255-run deficit from this morning, but were bowled out for 362, leaving England in need of just 11 runs to win.
