One debutant as Cavan name starting 15

GAA news

Cavan manager Mickey Graham has named the starting team for tomorrow’s Ulster Championship opener against Armagh.

There is one championship debutant named to start – Arva clubman Jonathan McCabe.

Jason McLoughlin, who made a big impact when he came on at half-time in the league final against Fermanagh, comes in for a start, with Niall Carolan, who started six of the seven league matches, relegated to the bench.

The experienced Oisin Kiernan, who missed rounds three to seven of the league as well as the final due to injury, comes back into the side at centre half-back.

Gowna’s Conor Brady is also named to start, having had an injury-disrupted league but also having played well off the bench in the league final win.

As always, alterations to the starting 15 are possible prior to throw-in although the 26 is unlikely to change.

Throw-in at Kingspan Breffni against Armagh is 6.30pm tomorrow.
