Philip (Phil) DOWD

Belturbet, Cavan / Ballyfermot, Dublin

DOWD Philip (Phil) (Late of Belturbet, Co. Cavan and originally of 172 Claddagh Road, Ballyfermot) February 27th 2023. Passed suddenly at Cavan General Hospital. Loving father of AnneMarie and Brendan, beloved son of the late James and Anne and beloved brother of Pat, Kay, Bobby, Jimmy and the late Tom and John. Sadly missed by Suzy, Sarah, fiancée Sylvia, grandchildren Kat, Lillie and Meggie, in-laws and partners, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Home, the Ballymun Civic Centre, Ballymun Road, D09 C8P5, on Friday, March 3rd, from 11.30am to 12.30pm. Philip’s civil cremation service will take place on Friday afternoon, March 3rd, at 1.30pm to 2.00pm at Glasnevin Crematorium Chapel, Glasnevin Cemetery.

For those attending the funeral, the wearing of colourful attire would be most appreciated or if possible purple attire as this was Philip’s favourite colour.

Dr. Patrick Faulkner

Farnham St, Cavan Town, Cavan

The death has occurred of Dr. Patrick Faulkner, Farnham St, Cavan, Wednesday March 1st 2023, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Bridget, sister Ann, brother Colm and nephew Carl. Dr. Paddy will be very sadly missed by his beloved wife and best friend Carmel, his daughters Pauline and Fiona and his son David. Also by his heart broken family, his adored grandchildren Conor, Kate, Aisling, Erin, Dara, James and Aoibhe, sons in law Ronan and Mark, daughter in law Edwina, brother Carl, all his extended family , good neighbours and many friends. May he Rest In Peace. Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12 C821) on Thursday evening from 5pm until 7pm. This will be a walk through only with no hugs or hand shaking please. Funeral Mass on Friday morning at 11 o'clock in the Cathedral of Saints Patrick and Felim, Cavan with burial afterwards in St. Brigid's Cemetery, killygarry. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Surgical 1 ward at Cavan General Hospital. Olive Haverty (née Flynn)

Templeogue, Dublin / Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

HAVERTY (née Flynn), Olive, 25th February 2023, Orwell Park Avenue, Templeouge, D6W, formerly of Cormeen, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan. Suddenly but peacefully at home. Pre-deceased by her two little angel boys Mark and John. Beloved wife of Christy, loving and much-loved mother of Rachel. Olive will be forever loved and sadly missed by her husband and daughter, her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

May she Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Massey Bros Funeral Home, Templeogue Village, D6W AC82 this Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Removal from her residence on Friday morning to the Church of St. Jude the Apostle, Willington arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery. Patricia O'Connor (née Toal)

Corwillian, Castleshane, Monaghan

Suddenly on Tuesday 28th February 2023.

Sadly missed by her husband David, sons Barry and St. John, daughter Karen, son in law Mark, daughter in law Marijke, grandchildren Emer, Bronagh, Ciara, Rory, Jack, Sara-Jane, Martha, Thea and Femke, brothers Tom and Jim, sister Carol, sisters in law Margaret, Trease and Áine, brother in law Bob, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home on Friday (03/03/2023) from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. House private at other times please.

Removal on Saturday (04/03/2023) at 10.15 a.m., arriving at St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 2 p.m.

Breda (Brigid) Walker (née Martin)

Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Tallaght, Dublin

The death has occurred of Breda (Brigid) Walker (née Martin), 1 Hillcrest, Mullinary, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Balrothery, Tallaght, Dublin 24, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda Tuesday, 28th February 2023. Predeceased by her brothers Larry, Vincent, Fr. John and Michael, and sisters Lil, Kathleen and Mary. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Patrick, son David, daughter-in-law Breda, grandchildren Ella and Patrick, brother Jim, godmother to Leona, brother-in-law Sean Murphy, sister-in-law Delia Martin, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross (A81 C653) on Friday evening from 4pm to 7pm. Removal from Deery’s Funeral Home on Saturday morning on foot via Mullinary and ‘The Bridge’ arriving at St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
