Kathleen Galligan Cashel, Ballinagh, Who passed away peacefully on the Sunday 19th. February 2023 Retired Staff Nurse at Cavan General Hospital. Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Fay Cresent, Belturbet, Cavan

Benny Henry, Fay Crescent, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, 19th February 2023, peacefully in James Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his loving wife Josie and son Thomas. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family, sons Michael, Brian and Joe, daughters Emer and Breege, sister Maureen, grandchildren, great grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Benny will be reposing at Lawlor’s Funeral Home, Erne Hill, Belturbet (H14 R583), this Tuesday evening from 6pm until evening prayer at 8pm. Removal from Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 11.30am to arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Belturbet, for 12noon Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in Drumalee Cemetery.

Maureen Prior (née Wyse)

5 Moorefield Drive, Newbridge, Kildare / Ballyconnell, Cavan

Peacefully at her home. Beloved Wife of Gerard adoring mother to Charlotte, Marguerite, Garrett, Ann Marie and Emma.Dearly missed by her siblings Bridget, Ellie, Jim, Pat, Bella, Anthony, Eilish and Martin. grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Jim Reynolds, Kilconny, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, 19th February 2023, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Maria, sister Mena and brother-in-law Brendan. Jim will be sadly missed by his cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Evelyn Shannon (née Smyth). 4, Shangarrai, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan & formerly Cloughvalley, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. 19th February 2023. Peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family, at the Mater Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by her husband Cormac.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family, her sons Paddy, Cormac (Madeline), Aidan, Raymond (Maureen) & Paul (Sinéad), her adored grandchildren, Stefan, Fergal, Alex, Evan, Fionn & Orna and her great-grandson Cillian, her brother Eamonn (Castleblayney), Patsy (UK) and her sister Christina (Ballybay), her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

The death has occurred of Riona Carroll (nee Flynn), 1 Ballybay Road, Monaghan, Co Monaghan. H18EF44, Sunday 19th February, 2023 peacefully after a short illness in Cavan General Hospital in the loving care of her family, nurses and staff of ward surgical 2.

May Riona's gentle soul rest in eternal peace

Survived by husband Brian, son Daithí, daughter Madeleine (partner Liam) and granddaughter and namesake Cathy, sisters Patricia and Mairead, sister-in-law Mary, nieces and nephew.

Reposing at her home on Monday from 5pm until 8pm, house strictly private at all other times. Removal on Tuesday at 12 noon to arrive at St Tierney's Church, Roslea for funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if so desired, to Irish Cancer Society c/o Aidan Connolly, Funeral Director. Maud Power

Wicklow Town, Wicklow / Monaghan

Maud Power née Forde of Church Hill, Wicklow Town and formerly of Main Street, Arklow who passed away on Saturday 18th February 2023 in her 95th year peacefully at home with her family. Beloved wife of the late George Power. Predeceased by her parents Sam and Lillian Forde and by her siblings George, Arthur, Betty and Marjorie. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons John and George and daughters June Leonard, Olive Rowan, Siobhan Hayes and Grace McDonald and by her sons and daughters in law, grandchildren and great grandchildren, extended family and many friends.

The family would like to thank Dr Joe Keena for the kindness, care and attention shown to Maud in her life, the Palliative Care Team and to Eileen Merrigan, Maud’s good friend and companion.

Maud will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk in Wicklow Town from 6pm until 8pm on Monday. Removal from her home on Tuesday to Wicklow Parish Church, Church Hill to arrive for a funeral service at 2.30pm followed by burial in Rathnew Cemetery.
