Lorry crash forces closure of road in Killeshandra

A collision between two lorries has forced the closure of a regional road in the west of the county.

Cavan County Council has advised: 'The R199 Killeshandra to Cavan Road is currently impassable at Drumgoa, Killeshandra, 2km south of Killeshandra, following a road traffic collision between two heavy goods vehicles.'

Emergency services are at the scene.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area for the present.

Diversions are being put in place.
