John Farrelly

John Farrelly, St Mary’s Terrace, Cavan Town and formerly Oakwood, Ballyhaise, Cavan, Monday, February 6th, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff at Esker Lodge Nursing Home, Cavan. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary, daughter Eileen, sons Noel and Jimmy. Sadly, missed by his sons Willie, Johnny, Thomas and Gerard, daughters Catherine, Nora, Bernie and Sharon, sons in law, daughters in law, sisters, Patsy (New York), Susan (New Jersey) and Bridie (London), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Wednesday evening from 7.00pm until 9.00pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 10.30am to the Cathedral of SS Patrick & Felim, Cavan, for Requiem Mass at 11.00am, interment afterwards in Cullies Cemetery.

Elizabeth (Ann) Kennedy (née Clarke)

The Cricketfields, Dunmore Rd., Tuam, Galway / Kingscourt, Cavan

Elizabeth (Ann) Kennedy (née Clarke), The Cricketfields, Dunmore Rd., Tuam, Co. Galway & formerly of Kingscourt, Co. Cavan 5th February 2023. Peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her parents John & Elizabeth, brothers J.J., Austin & Patsy. Deeply regretted by her loving husband James, daughter Jackie, son Seán, brother Laurence, sister Mary, son-in-law Geoff (Lynch), daughter-in-law Karen (Kennedy), sister-in-law Rose, grandchildren Georgina, Tara & Katie, 2 great-grandchildren Abbie & Lillie, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours & friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Grogan’s Funeral Home, Barrack St., Tuam, Co. Galway (Eircode H54 Y 677) on Wednesday evening (Feb. 8th) from 6pm to 7pm. Removal to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Tuam arriving at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11.30am. Mass will be live streamed here followed by Cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 2pm. Service will be live streamed (when link is available).

John Pilkington

67 Church St., Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred of John Pilkington, 67 Church St., Cootehill, Co. Cavan, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family and his partner Helen. Predeceased by his wife Marie, brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving daughter Joanne, son-in-law Joe, partner Helen, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill, on Wednesday evening from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Removal from his home on Thursday morning at 11.30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill, for 12 noon funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Middle Chapel. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, in memory of John to the Palliative Care Team Cavan.

Brookville House, Tullyvin, Cootehill, Cavan / Virginia, Cavan

Fr James (Jimmy) Hannigan, Graan Abbey Nursing Home, Enniskillen, formerly Virginia, Co Cavan and Nottingham Diocese and Brookville House, Tullyvin. February 6th Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Graan Abbey Nursing home, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his parents Thomas P. and Mary Kate (Molly), his sisters Claire, Kitty, brothers Tom, Peter, Pat, Stephen and Sean.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sisters Nuala, Marcella and Therese, his sister in law Marie, brother in law Michael, Bishop Patrick Joseph McKinney and priests of the diocese of Nottingham, Bishop Martin Hayes and priests of the Diocese of Kilmore, retired Bishops and priests, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, H12 RF 78, on Wednesday from 4.00pm until 6.30pm with removal to St. Brigid’s Church, Kill, H16 V 520 via Drung and Lappan Cross to arrive at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12.00 noon with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick (Packie) McCabe

Derryham, Bailieborough, Cavan / Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Patrick (Packie) McCabe late of Derryham, Bailieborough, and Stravicnabo, Lavey died on 6th February 2023 in his 99th year, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Virginia Health Centre. Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Mary Anne, sister Kathleen (Farrelly), borthers James, Eddie, John and Frank and niece Siobhan.

Sadly missed by his loving sister May Halton (USA), sister-in-law Maureen McCabe, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Tuesday the 7th February from 5pm - 8pm. Removal from the residence of his nephew Vincent Farrelly, Derryham on Wednesday morning arriving to St. Dympna's Church, Upper Lavey for funeral mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards to St. Ultan's Cemetery, Killinkere.

House Private on Wednesday morning please.

Mary Sherry

Tyramedon, Doohamlet, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Mary Sherry, Tyramedon, Doohamlet, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan on Monday 6th February, suddenly at her residence. Deeply missed and remembered with love by her husband Peadar, Daughter Lynda (Hughie) Son Aidan (Ieva) her grandchildren Odhrán, Ethan, Adam, Tristan, Ruby, Julian and Eliza.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.
