Mai Cooney (née Cusack)

Greagheittia, Tunnyduff, Bailieborough, Cavan

Arrangements have changed.

Mai Cooney, nee Cusack, 31st January 2023 peacefully in her 97th year, at her residence Greagheittia, Tunnyduff, Bailieborough, Co.Cavan. Surrounded by her heart broken family. Predeceased by her husband Kevin, and son John, brother Packie and daughter-in-law Bernie. Sadly missed by her family ,sons P.J., Kevin, Brendan & Raymond, sister-in-law Teresa, daughters-in-law, Ann, Rose, Blaithín and Anne, her 17 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, relatives, and friends.

Reposing at Clarkes Funeral Home this Wednesday evening from 5pm until concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal from her residence on Friday morning to St.Brigid's Church, Knockbride west arriving at 12 noon for Funeral Mass and burial in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if so desired, to Palliative Care c/o Brian McCabe Funeral Undertaker or any family member.

James (Jimmy) Markey

Drumeva, Bailieborough, Cavan

James (Jimmy) Markey, Drumeva, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan died on Tuesday 31st January 2023 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Gertie and his loving brother Phil. Sadly missed by his children Claire and Seamus, son-in-law Cathal Comiskey, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at the residence of his daughter Claire, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan (H12 YP97) on Wednesday the 1st February from 4pm - 8pm. Funeral on Thursday 2nd February to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, Knockbride West (Tunnyduff) for funeral mass at 11am (via his residence). Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The funeral mass will be streamed live:

John Smith

Corcavity, Drung, Cavan

John Smith, Corcavity, Drung, Co. Cavan died 31st January 2023, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital in the presence of his family. Predeceased by his wife Mary and his infant granddaughter Noeline Mary.

Will be very sadly missed his children Brian, Bridie, Susan, Peter, Philomena, Pam, Geraldine and Noeleen, his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sons in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

The death has occurred of Teresa O’Brien (née Mc Carney) Drumsheeney, Threemilehouse Co. Monaghan, formerly of Derryledigan, Scotstown, Co. Monaghan, Monday, 30th January, surrounded by her adored family, in Drumbear Nursing Home. Predeceased by her Husband Frank & Son Frank.Teresa will be forever missed by her Sons & Daughters; Margaret (Tom), Gerard (Teresa), Carmel (Thomas), Brendan (Mildred), Pauline (Paul), Colette & her daughter-in-law Bridget, her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.

Reposing at Clerkins Funeral Home, Milltown, Monaghan (H18YF22) Wednesday (01st) from 4pm to 8pm. Teresa’s funeral procession will leave her home Thursday (2nd) to arrive at St Marys Church, Threemilehouse for 11am Funeral Mass with burial in adjoining cemetery.
