Gardaí attend accident on Virginia/Bailieborough Road

A single vehicle collision has occurred on the L178 from Virginia to Bailieborough this afternoon.

The road is currently closed while emergency services in Bailieborough and Virginia attend the scene.

No life threatening injuries have been reported following the incident.

The road will reopen shortly.

A spokesperson for Cavan County Council said: "Bailieborough and Virginia brigades attended a single-vehicle collision on the Bailieborough Rd outside Virginia this afternoon.

"No serious injuries were sustained by the sole occupant. The road is set to re-open shortly."
