Completing a novel.

Best live show?

Ann McKiernan singing ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ in the Christmas panto at the Townhall Cavan. Made me ball.

TV/cinema highlight?

The Father, with Olivia Colman and Anthony Hopkins. A psychological drama dealing with Alzheimer’s from the point of view of the patient.

Hard to watch, but incredibly moving and powerful.

Favourite book?

Louise Glück’s novella, Marigold and Rose. A playful, funny, thought-provoking portrait of the first year in the lives of twin girls.

One to watch?

Will Govan (my husband)! Not biased at all, but he is going to be amazing in upcoming one-man show about Oscar Wilde, Work is the Curse of the Drinking Classes.

Wish for 2023?

To have more time to go to all the great things happening in Cavan and its environs.
