Philip LYNCH

Old Bawn, Tallaght, Dublin / Canningstown, Cavan

Lynch, Philip, 9th December 2022 (Old Bawn, Tallaght and formerly of Canningstown, Co. Cavan), (unexpectedly), but peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Tallaght Hospital; beloved husband of Rosemary, much loved dad of Tara and Gillian and adored and devoted grandad of Ava and Holly. Philip will be forever loved and very sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law Wayne, brother Kevin, sisters Maureen and Margaret, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

JOHN (HI MAC) MC DONAGH

Crescent Drive, Hillivew, Waterford City, Waterford, X91 C5KC / Redhills, Cavan

12th December 2022.

Formerly of An Garda Síochána and Caredoc.

Late of Redhills, Cavan.

John died peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the Palliative Care Unit of the University Hospital Waterford following an illness, borne with great dignity.

A dearly loved husband, father and grandfather. John will be sadly missed by his wife Bríd, daughter Fiona, sons Declan, Brendan, Séan and James, grandchildren John, Niamh, Séan, Aoife, Amy, Tomás, Diarmuid, Isla and Ayda, son-in-law Richard, partners Kim, Caroline and Aidan, sisters Barbara and Margaret, brothers James and Raymond, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his residence on Wednesday (14th December) from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11 am in the Holy Family Church, Luke Wadding Street, Waterford followed by private cremation.

Edgar McConnell

Terenure, Dublin / Cavan Town, Cavan

McConnell Edgar (formerly of Terenure) 12th December 2022. Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Esker Lodge Nursing Home, Cavan. Beloved husband of the late Doreen; he will be sadly missed by his loving children Lorraine and David, grandchildren Christopher, Kate, Jenni, and Amber, and great-grandchildren, son-in-law Allan, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Service on Friday (December 16th) at 11.am in Rathfarnham Parish Church, Rathfarnham Village and afterwards to Kilmashogue Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Alzheimer’s society of Ireland

Monsignor Austin Mullen

Cavan

Monsignor Austin Mullen, Tampa, Florida, December 12th (peacefully) in the presence of his surviving brother Jerome (Warrenpoint, Co. Down), his close family circle and treasured friends. Beloved son of the late Michael Joseph and Kitty Mullen of Rosemount, Mountnugent, Co. Cavan, brother of the late Monsignor Kevin Mullen, Nuala Mullen, Deirdre O’Connell (Pallaskenry, Co. Limerick), and Maura McClarey (Mountnugent) and brother-in-law Paddy O’Connell. Deeply regretted by his living family Jerome and Margaret, nephews Justin, Paul and Denis, nieces Colette and Nuala, brother-in-law George McClarey, his grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral will take place in Tampa, his ashes will be returned to Ireland and interred with his beloved brother Kevin. Arrangements for a memorial mass in the New Year will be announced later.

Austin was a beloved priest who served the community in Tampa, Florida for over 57 years and will be deeply missed by the parish community throughout Florida but in particular in the parish of St Paul's Catholic Church, Tampa which he established and served in for over 25 years.

Lisa (lise) Marron

Southampton, England and formerly of Peaste, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Lisa (Lise) Marron, Southampton, England and formerly of Peaste, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan following an illness at her residence, Sunday 4th December 2022. Much loved daughter of PJ and Ita Marron, sister of Raymond (Claudine), Johnny (Tricia), Damien (Maria), Shane (Sarah), Valerie (Matt) and Joseph (Nóra), devoted aunt to Dearbhla, Fionn, Nathan, Niamh, Clodagh, Oisín, Conor, Emma-Rose, Lilly, Cillian, James, Réaltín and Theodora, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and supportive friends in both Southampton and Ireland.

Tommy Moyna

Scotstown, Monaghan

Died, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Sheila and his son John. Loving father of Tom, Fionnuala, Domhnall, Niall, Michael and David.

Grandfather to Caoimhe, Deidre, Sean, Conor, Ciara, Kate, Tommy, Ruairi, Alex, Tristian, Domhnall, Tobias, and Marcus. Sadly missed by his children, son in law, John, daughters in law, Eilish, Anne Marie, Helle, Treacy, his extended family and wide circle of friends.

May his gentle Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.

Reposing Wednesday, 14th December, at his home in Scotstown. Removal Thursday 15th, to St Mary's Church, Urbleshanny, Scotstown, arriving for 11:00am Funeral Mass, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
