“Having come through a very difficult two years since March 2020 when COVID-19 arrived, travel was firmly back on people’s agenda for 2022,” says Siobhan.

As restrictions began to lift in Europe, Canada and America, and travel became somewhat easier, the travelling public took to the skies again with gusto!

“Many are travelling to visit family, especially in the USA and Canada, take the trips that had been postponed and rearranged several times or simply to 'get off this island' for some sun and fun, having been restricted for so long,” continues Siobhan.

“There has been huge demand for flights to Australia and New Zealand and flights are heavily booked into 2023 already. We have also noticed a trend for one-way flights, with young people heading off on their travels again in significant numbers.”
