Cavan ED nurse on Fittest Family

Grainne works in Cavan hospital’s emergency department.

The McNallys are back on TV this evening!

A nurse from Cavan General Hospital has shown her strength in Ireland’s Fittest Family. From Emyvale in County Monaghan, the McNally team is made up of siblings Grainne, Therese and Ronan and their father Owen.

Grainne works in the hospital’s emergency department and plays club football for Emyvale.

Support has been coming from the nursing team at the hospital who took to social media to say that her day job will be great preparation for the challenges ahead.

The GAA family are featuring on the tenth year of the show and are coached by camogie star Anna Geary. However, the McNallys also competed in the very first season of Ireland’s Fittest Family where they came third.

In that year they were beaten to the crown by the O’Reilly family from Butlersbridge.

The McNally’s featured on the third episode of the new season and progressed to the quarter finals which will air on Sunday, November 6.
