Cavan Volunteer Centre opening
MInister to open office on Monday, November 7.
Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, will officially open the Cavan Volunteer Centre this evening, Monday, November 7.
An independent and free service that matches individuals and groups to volunteering opportunities across county Cavan, the new office is located at 2 College Street (H12 EA44), at the corner of Wolfe Tone Street and Coleman Road.
The opening begins at 5pm.
Cathaoirleach John Paul Feeley will deliver an introduction at the ribbon cutting, before Minister Humphreys shares her opening address.
There will also be messages from the Cavan Volunteer Centre Chair, and from Volunteer Ireland to which the local organisation is affiliated.
The event will then move to Cavan Rugby Club for the Community Launch, where from 6:30pm attendees will be provided with an introduction to volunteer opportunities in each of the three municipal districts across the county.
