Extension for Ballyjamesduff school

The Department of Education has approved new accommodation at St Clare's National School in Ballyjamesduff.

Local Fianna Fáil TD Brendan Smith says he has received notice from the Department that it has given the go-ahead for a Home School Liaison/Parents’ Room and a Special Education Teaching Room at the busy school.

Work will now begin on further planning for the project, as well as an application for planning permission.

"I compliment the Principal and staff colleagues, Board of Management and Parents’ Association on their work in having additional facilities provided at St Clare’s. I wish all involved with this project every success with this important work”, stated Deputy Smith.

St Clare's was among seven Cavan primary schools to be approved for DEIS status earlier this year.
