Marble Arch show cave to close for lighting upgrade

Works expected to cost in the region of £400,000.

The show cave at Marble Arch Caves will close temporarily from later this month until early next year to facilitate improvement works.

This will include the installation of a new cave lighting system, expected to cost in the region of £400,000.

The show cave will close from Monday, September 12 until early January 2023.

Cave tours will be not available during the closure period.

It is the first lighting upgrade at the site since the show cave first opened in 1982.

Tourism Northern Ireland proivided half of the funding for the project.
