Under the hammer with Smith Property
There’s a good mix of properties going under the hammer at this month’s online auction by Smith Property.
Seven properties, spread right across Co Cavan, are going to auction next Thursday (August 25).
Land in Shercock
Among them is 8.7 acres of agricultural land in the Knappagh area of Shercock. It’s made up of two parcels, located about 1km from the main Shercock to Cootehill road, roughly halfway between the two busy towns.
Described as a “compact land holding” with river access, it is set out in a number of fields with good road frontage.
It has a guide price of €50,000.
Houses in Ballinagh
Two properties in the Ballinagh area are also listed.
A derelict house in Corduff is sited on a 0.4 acre site. The semi-detached bungalow has a two-storey granary building to the rear.
It has a water connection and ESB is on site but has been disconnected and work will be needed to bring sewage to the site.
It has a guide price of €30,000.
In the Drumrockedy area of Corlismore, a quaint bungalow on five acres could be yours for €100,000.
Six kilometres from Arva and 8km from Ballinagh, the house is in need of full refurbishing. The lands surrounding the bungalow are described as enjoying “extensive countryside views”.
‘Investment opportunity’
A terrace house in Cavan Town centre could be yours for €120,000.
Described as an “investment opportunity”, No 2 Abbey Street is located just 100m from the centre of town. It offers quick access to shops, employers and public transport links.
Country living
In Stradone, a four bed bungalow on almost seven acres has a price of €200,000. It also comes with a range of farm buildings, mainly laid out in stables.
Smith Property have described it as an “ideal compact holding, suitable for multiple uses”.
It comes with a private water supply and septic tank sewage.
On the market in Kilnaleck
Finally, two properties in Kilnaleck are also going under the hammer.
The former medical practice in Kilnaleck is also going to auction, with an Advised Minimum Value of €200,000.
Located on Barrack Road, it’s described as an “investment opportunity” with block deconstruction and a low maintenance exterior.
The former parochial house in Drumkilly, Kilnaleck, along with 2.4 acres of land, is one of the lots. With a price of €125,000, a number of outbuildings are included.
Described as being on a “prominent site with good countryside views”, it’s next to the school, church and community centre.
The three-bed, one-bath house, which was built in the 1880s, is in need of some updating.
