Bulky Waste Drop-off Day

Cavan County Council will host its next ‘Bulky Waste Drop-off Day' next month on Saturday, September 3.

Run as part of its 2022 anti-dumping initiative, the collection day will be held at the Corranure Civic Amenity site (H12 DK61) from 8am-12.30pm.

The service is for domestic householders.

A collection fee of €5 per van, or car and trailer, will apply.

No commercial waste will be collected under the scheme.

Normal charges will apply for all other waste items presented on the day.

Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day

Meanwhile, a Hazardous Waste Drop Off Day will take place this Saturday, August 20, also at Corranure Civic Amenity Centre, from 8am to 12.30pm.

This service is for domestic households only, strictly no commercial use.

It is for the following materials only:

- Paints including water-based paints, oil-based paints, primers, varnishes, etc.

- Fungicides/herbicides/pesticides

- Waste oils (cooking and engine oil)

- Oil filters

- Antifreeze

- Car/Tractor Batteries

- Medicinal Waste (Human and Animal)

Normal charges apply for all other waste items presented on the day i.e. mattresses, furniture, hard plastics, etc.
