Witnesses sought to Ballybay crash which injured 6
Crash referred to GSOC under Section 102 of the Garda Síochána Act, 2005.
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses in relation to a two vehicle collision on Monday last, an incident which is currently being investigated to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC)
As one of the vehicles involved had an interaction with An Garda Síochána shortly before the collision at Corraskea on August 8, the matter was referred to GSOC under Section 102 of the Garda Síochána Act, 2005.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the two vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 9.30pm.
A total of six people were hospitalised as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
They were taken to Cavan General Hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.
None these injuries were reported to be “life-threatening” at this time.
A technical examination has since been completed by Forensic Collision Investigators.
