Tenders issued for Civil Defence HQ refurb
Council purchased units 5,6 and 7 Pullamore Business Park in 2020.
Tenders have been issued for the refurbishment of three units at Pullamore Business Park for use as the new future headquarters of Cavan Civil Defence.
Earlier this year Cavan County Council published plans for the new facility, and elected members approved Part 8 planning for the project.
The Council purchased the buildings at units 5,6 and 7 Pullamore Business Park overlooking the busy N3 Dublin to Cavan road towards the end of 2020.
The tender notice issued asks for interested contractors capable of refurbishing the existing three units and amalgamate them into one, together with change of use to Cavan Civil Defence Headquarters.
Contained within the new HQ will be vehicle and equipment storage, training facilities, canteen/welfare facilities and office space and all other associated works.
"Construction work for buildings relating to emergency services," says the tender, for which the deadline for response is the end of next month.
The Cavan Civil Defence currently operate out of rented accommodation at Corhoogan.
