Man charged after incident at Cavan Courthouse

A man was arrested after an alleged public order incident outside Cavan Courthouse.

It's believed the man was shouting at Gardaí during the incident, which took place at around 2pm.

A sitting of Virginia District Court had just concluded at the time.

The Garda press office confirmed the arrest:

"Gardaí arrested a male under public order legislation in Cavan town yesterday afternoon.

"He was later charged and is due to appear before court at a later date."
