Galetech gets green light for Cootehill apartments
Galetech Sustainable Living Limited has been given the go ahead on plans to renovate a vacant commercial building at 67 Market Street and convert it into four apartments.
The works will involve the change of use of the ground floor level to residential use.
Also included in the plans are alterations to the front and rear elevations, renewal works to the main roof of the building and internal fit-out works.
Private amenity spaces will also be included in the development.
The plans were submitted to Cavan County Council in November last year.
However, the planning process was delayed for a period after council planners requested clarification on a number of issues.
Drawings submitted as part of the application show the development extends into the first floor area of No 65 Market Street.
Revised plans for the front elevation of the building were also requested.
Galetech Sustainable Living Limited was already granted conditional planning permission to provide four new townhouses to the rear of 67 Market Street, Cootehill.
This includes one two-bedroom and three one-bed townhouses.
Planning was granted at the end of August 2021.
Both projects are expected to be delivered together.
A total of 15 conditions were attached to the granting of permission.
