Lotto luck hits Ballyjamesduff

There are plenty of reasons to celebrate in Ballyjamesduff this week.

The National Lottery says the lucky Cavan winner in Saturday's Lotto Plus 1 draw has made contact.

The was among the winners in the weekend draw after they netted €241,583.

Matching five numbers and the bonus in the Lotto Plus 1 draw, the lucky person won the second jackpot prize in the weekend’s draw.

The winning ticket was sold in Centra on Main Street in Ballyjamesduff, which coincidentally already had a reason to celebrate.

“The news comes at a great time as I just celebrated my 17th anniversary with the store last week so this seems like the perfect way to mark the occasion”, said store owner Rodney Dolan.

“We’re located at the heart of a wonderful community here in Ballyjamesduff. From day one, the entire community has always been so welcoming and supportive so I’m certain everyone will be thrilled to hear the news and of course, eager to check their tickets! We have a team of 24 staff members working here so as soon as I tell them, there will be a total buzz around the shop. I wish the winner all the very best with their big win!”

The winning numbers in Saturday’s (18th June) Lotto Plus 1 draw were: 03, 09, 14, 32, 38, 41 and the bonus was 44.

The National Lottery has confirmed to the Celt that the winning ticket holder has made contact with Lotto HQ and arrangements are being made for them to collect their winnings.

Meanwhile, a Limerick Lotto player was the winner of the top prize in the Lotto Plus 1 draw of €1 million.
