U12 Mixed 4 Hand Winners: Aoife O’Reilly, Rían Higgins, Orna Higgins and Lorcán Flynn.The Cavan County Fleadh came back with a bang last weekend. The sun shone and the craic was ninety as Belturbet hosted the weekend-long festival of traditional Irish music, song and dance.
Competitions were staged, as well as a feast of entertainment - on the streets, the gig rig and on a seisiúin trail in pubs and venues across the Erneside town. Dromore in County Tyrone will host the Ulster Fleadh the last weekend of July.
Competitors who placed first, second and third (recommended) will progress to the provincial rounds. The All-Ireland Fleadh takes place in Mullingar in August.
