Cavan comedian hits the road
Kevin McGahern will follow up Kilkenny Cat Laughs' shows by headlining Sligo's Wild Roots Comedy Tent on Sunday night.
Cavan comedian Kevin McGahern is hitting the road this June Bank Holiday weekend, playing a series of gigs from the Kilkenny Cat Laughs to Sligo's Wild Roots Festival.
The Gowna native began his tour sharing the stage as MC for a show on Friday in Kilkenny starring David O’Doherty, Tony Cantwell, and Áine Gallagher.
On Saturday (June 4, 6pm), McGahern is again in the role of ringleader for a show involving Andrew Maxwell, Eleanor Tiernan, and Martin Angolo at Kilkenny's The Pembroke Hotel.
He'll need to be quick on his feet that evening as McGahern is scheduled to MC again for Neil Delamere, Waterford Whispers News, and Sinead Quinlan at the Watergate Theatre (8pm).

The organisers of the festival duly obliged to fix the situation.
After Kilkenny McGahern will then travel north-west to the latest festival to appear on the summer circuit.
In addition to the musical acts, Wild Roots, Music Performing Arts and Adventure Festival will include adventure activities and performing arts events.
McGahern is scheduled to headline the festival's Comedy Tent on the Sunday night.
