Storyteller to regale families at Erica's Fairy Forest
A renowned storyteller will bring her fabulous talent to Erica's Fairy Forest this weekend.
Maria Gillen is the storyteller in residence in Listowel, Kerry Writers Museum and has won countless plaudits for bringing her amazing tales to life.
Maria was already booked as one of eight seanchaí to perform at tonbight's Cavan County Museum's special story telling event that starts at 8pm (free event; booking essential 049 8544 070).
Maria will also perform at the annual gathering of the Irish Forest School Association at Tanagh Outdoor Education and Training Centre on Saturday night, which promises to be a great event.
Upon hearing of the magical venue of Erica's Fairy Forest in Cootehill, Maria was eager to bring her storytelling to the enchanted woodland this Sunday afternoon at 3pm. Her delightful stories are suitable for all ages, and there's no booking required, just turn up.
Among her many accolades is winning The Mick McCarthy All Ireland Storytelling competition in Finugue with her own original. She was also the featured teller at the annual Listowel Writers Week in 2017, the same year she won the Butter Road Storytelling competition in Blarney.
