Galetech announces Australian expansion
The local company already has a number of clients in the country.
Stradone based Galetech has announced its entry into the Australian market.
The renewable energy consultancy company has launched Galetech Australia and says it has already secured a number of clients in the country.
The new subsidiary will be based in Perth in Western Australia.
Galetech Group says the business will initially focus on renewables and environmental, social and governance standards (ESG) services to the mining, oil and gas and agricultural sectors. It says it will also offer a planning, due diligence and automated drone survey advisory service.
Galetech Australia says it has already been engaged by some Australian mining firms, including Bellevue Gold, a gold miner which aims to achieve 100% net zero emissions by 2026 producing so called “Green Gold”.
Manganese mining company Firebird Metals has also engaged Galetech.
Enterprise Ireland has given support to Galetech on its entry into the Australian market. The subsidiary will be led by Dermot Costello from Co Louth.
Australia’s general election last week has prompted a focus on the country’s carbon emissions with a commitment to reduce emissions by 43% by 2030.
Mining, oil and gas exploration and the agricultural sector are among the country’s biggest polluters.
Galetech already has a number of clients across the world, including in mainland Europe and South Africa which includes companies such as GE Renewable Energy, Storm Renewables Belgium, Neoen and Orsted.
