Consultations on Shannon Pot plans to be held
Planning is well underway on the project.
Public consultations are to be held on major new plans for the Cavan Burren Park.
Cavan County Council is working on plans for the Shannon Pot and Burren Park.
€6.4 million is to be spent on a new Shannon Pot Discovery Centre, which will include a visitors' building, tourist trails and an elevated viewing platform.
That project was announced last year, with planning work well underway. €4.8 million has been given by Fáilte Ireland and the remaining €1.6 million will be paid by Cavan County Council.
As part of the planning work, public consultations are to be held next month.
Cavan County Council says the events will take place on:
Tuesday, 7 June – St Patrick’s Hall, Glangevlin
Wednesday, 8 June – Market House, Blacklion
Thursday, 9 June – Swanlinbar Community Hall, Swanlinbar
All will take place from 7pm to 9pm and refreshments will be served.
