Charity golf classic in aid of Cuan Cancer Cavan

Cavan’s Farnham Estate Spa & Golf Resort will host a fantastic Charity Golf Classic in aid of Cuan Cancer Support next month.

Set on Farnham Estate’s world class, 18-hole championship golf course, the fundraiser will take place Friday, June 24.

Cuan Cavan is a social support and wellness group for anyone who has ever had a cancer diagnosis and their family members. They provide a free and confidential service, which includes counselling, reflexology, massage therapy, Indian head massage, reiki and nutrition advice.

Along with providing information to cancer patients, family members and caregivers, they also offer a drop-in service where men and women are provided with a safe, comfortable and confidential space where they can be listened to.

Available too are a number of survivorship programmes, as well as courses and workshops that provide people with the knowledge and skills to help their recovery in the aftermath of cancer.

For what promises to be a unique and memorable day, team bookings are being taken for the golf event, which costs €200 per group of four.

A wide range of fantastic prizes can be won, with first prize a set of four Odyssey putters and a hotel voucher.

Second prize is a set of four Callaway Jaws Wedges and a hotel voucher, with third prize four Callaway golf bags and a hotel voucher.

There will be prizes as well for the longest drive of the day and for the shot nearest the pin.
