Water disruption in Kingscourt after burst mains

There's disruption in the town today.

A water outage in Kingscourt has brought major disruption to the town.

A burst water main has seen supplies cut to most of the town.

Irish Water says repairs are underway but disruption is expected to continue in the Kingscourt area and surrounding areas.

"Crews are working to have the supply restored as soon as possible", the utility says.

It has also said customers could be left waiting for another two to three hours once the repair is complete before they see normal water supplies resume.

Cavan County Council has said repair crews are onside and "are working to restore supply as soon as possible".
