€23K in cash and Rolex watch among items seized by CAB
Assets of over €200K frozen
€23K in cash and a Rolex watch valued at over €8,000 are among items seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) during a search operations in County Meath this morning (Wednesday), April 27.
Gardaí have confirmed that two searches were conducted - one residential property and one business premises.
The following was seized:
• €23,000 cash
• A Rolex Watch valued in excess of €8,000
• A significant quantity of designer goods
• Documentation in relation to financial and property transactions
In addition to the seizure of the above assets, in excess of €200,000 was restrained in financial accounts.
A garda statement confirmed: "The CAB investigation is focussed on the assets of an international Organised Criminal Group (OCG) involved in the cultivation, sale and supply of controlled drugs through a network of cannabis grow houses, and the subsequent laundering of the proceeds of their criminal conduct."
