Teresa Gilcreest, nee Nealon, Clardan House, Keadue Lane, Cavan and formerly Main Street, Belturbet, Co. Cavan and Rathgar, Dublin.

Peacefully in Kilmainhamwood Retirement Home, Co. Meath, in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband, Ted, mother, Mary and father, Pat. A great loss in the lives of her son, Fr. Martin, her brother, Padraig (Australia), sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours and the wonderful, compassionate staff in her home for the last 21 years, Kilmainhamwood Retirement Home.

Reposing at the home of Fr. Martin, Keadue Lane (H12FY84), from 2pm on Sunday 24th April 2022 till 9pm for family, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Public viewing (Walk-by only) at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Monday 25th April 2022 from 3pm till 6pm. Removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Belturbet, arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass at 12.00 Noon on Tuesday 26th April 2022, followed by burial in the family plot in Annagh Cemetery.

April Hope King McGovern, 58 O’Raghalliagh Park, Cavan. Born sleeping on Thursday, April 21st 2022. Beautiful baby daughter of Ned (Eamon) and Rebecca. Tiny sister of Kyle, KC Michael, Paige and Willow. Precious granddaughter of Stuart and Kate and remembering with love grandad Eamon McGovern who was laid to rest on Saturday 23rd April, niece of Ben, Zach and Josh.

House and funeral strictly private please.

Formerly Aughakilmore, Ballymachugh. Died the 23/04/2022 peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Oakview Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Bridget, her sister Kathy Fagan (Chicago) and her infant son Thomas.

Sadly missed by and beloved mother to Maggie, Kathy, Lucy, Mary, Bernie, Andrew, Killian, Norbert, Ruth, Sarah and Deirdre and their father Andy, her sons-in-law and daughter-in-law Margo, her 20 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Rd. Cavan on Monday the 25th from 7pm to 9.30pm. Walk through only and no handshaking please. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning the 26th in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Mullahoran at 12 noon, followed by Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery Ballynarry.

Maura Tackney (née Brady)

Drumnaveil, Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred of Maura Tackney (nee) Brady, 3A Drumnaveil, Cootehill, Co. Cavan formerly of Drumbarkey, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, April 23rd 2022 peacefully at College View Nursing Home Cavan, predeceased by her parents Mary and Tommy, her husband Phil, her granddaughter Siobhan, brothers and sisters.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, daughter Mary, sons Philip and Thomas, brothers Noel and Michael, sisters Sue and Bridie, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughters in law, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen's Funeral Home, Cootehill this Monday evening April 25th from 5.30 to 8 o'clock. Funeral Cortege will leave Mullen's Funeral Home Tuesday morning at 10.30am to arrive to St. Michael's Church Cootehill for 11 o'clock funeral Mass. Burial will take place afterwards in St. Michael's Cemetery Cootehill, family flowers only please, donations in memory of Maura to College View Nursing Home Cavan.

Face coverings must be worn in the funeral home and please refrain from shaking hands. The Tackney and Brady families would like to thank you for your consideration and cooperation at this difficult time.
