Art exhibition
WHERE: Bailieborough Library event space
WHEN: Runs to April 9
WHAT: Paintings and prints by Eilish McCann from Belturbet has opened in the Event Space, Bailieborough Library. Exhibition is open library hours (closed Mondays). The figurative work presented combines acrylic, oil, monotype and screenprinted images.
Pickleball Taster
WHERE: Killeshandra Community Hall
WHEN: Thursday, March 31
WHAT: Open evening on, in from 7-9pm. Pickleball is an easy to learn fun game suitable for all age groups. Everyone welcome.
Cavan Fleadh launch
WHERE: Belturbet
WHEN: Friday, April 1, at 7.30pm
WHAT: Belturbet Comhaltas are preparing to host the Cavan County Fleadh on the June Bank Holiday weekend. The Fleadh launch will be on Friday, April 1, at 7.30pm with a ‘Ceol agus Prataì’ session on the Railway Platform and a special potato planting event for all on the evening at the newly developing community allotment adjacent to the Railway Station area. All welcome.

Bailieborough Walking Group
WHERE: Bailieborough
WHEN: Saturday, April 2
WHAT: Are hosting a walk in support of the ‘Climb with Charlie’ event on Saturday at 10am. Meeting at Bailieborough Business Centre (A82HH58) and walking around the Castle Lake forest. All donations raised will go to Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) and Pieta House, two worthy charities. All welcome.

WHAT: Climb/ Walk with Charlie in aid of Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Pieta House on Saturday, April 2, 12pm. 14km hilly walk on a quiet country road with spectacular views of the countryside. Please bring water, snack and hi-viz vest. Registration at 11:30am, St Michael’s Hall, Cootehill.
‘Climb with Charlie Walk
WHERE: Bruce Mountain
WHEN: Saturday, April 2
WHAT: Climb with Charlie Walk on Bruce Mountain. Registration at Coronea school grounds from 11.30am and walk will be starting at noon from the school. Car parking at Coronea Church area only. Proceeds in aid of Motor Neurone Disease, contributions are voluntary. Please wear a hi viz vest.
Killen Dramatic Society

WHAT: Killen Dramatic Society presents ‘Wake in the West’, a hilarious three-act comedy by Michael J. Ginnelly, directed by Vincent Kiernan, in Granard Community Centre, Thursday, March 31 to Saturday, April 2. Curtain up at 8pm. Tickets on the door. Adults, €10; children; €5. Family concessions.

WHAT: Tickets are selling fast for the Makem & Clancy concert in the Breffni Arms Hotel, Arva, on Wednesday, April 6. They are sons of the late Tommy Makem and Liam Clancy and carry on a great tradition. Admission is €20 and doors open at 8pm.
