Appeal after break-in at Co Cavan church

The incident took place earlier this week.

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a break-in at a County Cavan church.

Cash was taken from St Bridget’s Church in Mountnugent on Monday (March 7) after thieves entered the building at some point between 8.30am and 7.30pm.

Approximately €50 was taken from the candle holder in the church after it was forced open by those responsible.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.
