It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie
Georgina Cassidy (née Johnston)
Cavanagh, Ballyconnell, Cavan
Georgina Cassidy (neé Johnston), Cavanagh, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, Tuesday, 15th February. Peacefully in College View Nursing Home, Cavan in her 100th year. Predeceased by her husband Jim. Georgina will be sadly missed by her niece and nephews, David and Phyllis Cassidy, the Johnston and Cassidy families.
Resting in Lawlors Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet, Eircode H14 R583 tomorrow evening, Wednesday, from 7pm until 8pm (walk through only). Funeral cortege leaving the funeral home on Thursday, 17th February, at 1.30pm arriving at Tomregan Parish Church, Ballyconnell for funeral service at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.

Breena Hooimeijer (née Greenan)
Old Bridge Road, Cootehill, Cavan
The death has occurred of Breena Hooimeijer (nee Greenan) Old Bridge Road, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, February 13th 2022, suddenly, at Beaumount Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her parents Vincent and Josephine Greenan. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Ali, her devastated children Denise (Barry), Mickyla (Daryl), Mairead (Jonny), son Philie, Sabreena (Sean), sisters Carol and Fidelma, brothers Vincent and Stephen, and Philip, father of her children, her adored grandchildren Jamie, Calan, Lucy, Anna, Aoife, Sean Og, Jayden, mother-in-law Maria, son-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and all her extended family and friends.
MAY HER GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE.
Reposing at her home on Wednesday evening from 4 pm to 9 pm. Removal from her home on Thursday afternoon at 2 pm to arrive at St. Michael's Church, Cootehill for 2.30pm Funeral Mass, followed by burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, Cootehill.
The family would like to thank everyone for their cooperation and consideration at this difficult time. Family home will be private at all other times, also Thursday morning please. Friends and neighbours are very welcome to line the route in a safe and socially distanced manner as a mark of respect of Breena.

Martin Cunningham
Beaghmagheross, Carrickmacross, Monaghan
The death has occurred of Martin Cunningham, Watford, England and formerly of Beaghmagheross, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, unexpectedly but peacefully in Watford, Wednesday 2nd February 2022. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving partner Mary, siblings Ann, John-Joe, Betty, Thomas, Rosaleen and Peter, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his family home, Beaghmagheross, Carrickmacross (A81 EK00), this Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm and on Wednesday from 12noon. Removal on Thursday morning on foot via Parnell St to St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Margaret Macklin (née Murray)
Latlurcan, Monaghan Town, Monaghan
Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Dermot and her daughter Ann. Sadly missed by her daughters Clare, Louise and Rosaleen, her sons Philip and Dermot, sons in law Peter Shiels, Peter Finnegan, Colm Flynn and Peter Cosgrove, daughters in law Catherine and Darina, grandchildren Gareth, Daniel, Louise, Eva, Philip, Niall, Sinéad, Conor, Alan, Shane, Paul, Emma, Ben, Elaine, Jason and Suzanne, great grandchildren Alex and Lucy, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. Enda Mc Carney
Derryledigan, Scotstown, Monaghan, H18 V271
The death has occurred of Enda Mc Carney, Derryledigan, Scotstown, Co. Monaghan, tragically and unexpectedly, Sunday, 13th February. Predeceased by his father Packie. Beloved and much loved husband of Catriona and adored father of Caolan, Finn, Eanna, Emmett and Pearce. Devoted son of Monica and cherished brother of Cathy (Paul Lavery) and Carmel (Jim Mc Connon). Enda will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, sons, mother, sisters, Catriona's parents Bridie and Bill Quirk, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, Enda and Catriona's biker friends and by all who knew and loved Enda.

Enda will be resting at the family home (H18V271) today Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm and again tomorrow, Wednesday, from 4pm to 8pm, house private at all other times, please, with removal on Thursday morning at 10.15am to arrive at St Mary's Chapel, Urbleshanny, for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by Cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
