Killeshandra fire extinguished

A blaze on Killeshandra's Main Street was brought under control by local Fire Service crews last night.

Crews from Killeshandra and Ballyconnell attended a commercial fire at Main Street, Killeshandra last night.

The premises affected was the town's butchers, located next door to the vacant post office.

"Thankfully, all occupants were safely evacuated on arrival. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus (BA) extinguished the fire and successfully prevented it spreading to adjoining properties," said a spokesperson.
