Loughan House prisoners arrested in Cork after escape
It's the second escape there this month.
The two prisoners who absconded from Loughan House Prison outside Blacklion yesterday have been arrested.
Gardaí confirmed in the early hours of yesterday morning they were alerted that two prisoners had escaped from the site.
A van was stolen from the area a short time later.
Gardaí have confirmed the men, aged 23 and 20, were arrested in County Cork a number of hours later.
They are currently detained at Gurranabraher Garda Station under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Investigations are continuing into the incident.
It's the second time this month that prisoners have escaped, with convicted drug dealer John Mangan still on the run.
The 53 year old escaped from the open prison on October 4th and remains at large.
