Gardaí tested almost 50 drivers for alcohol and drugs at the check in Virginia between 5.30am and 9am today.

Gardaí say a vehicle was seized as the driver had no driving licence and it was not covered by a valid insurance policy.
A number of fines were also handed out to driver who had no tax, issues with their car’s lighting and other offences.
Members of the Cavan Roads Policing Unit and from Bailieborough Garda Station were involved in this morning’s operation.
