Cavan trad features on TG4 show

Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is the world’s largest celebration of Irish music, language, song and dance. And with no Fleadh Cheoil this year, TG4 has commissioned Fleadhfest ’21, a series of programmes celebrating the 70th anniversary of one of Ireland’s most significant cultural events.

For five weeks presenters Daithí O Sé and Doireann Ní Ghlacáin took to the four corners of the country, listening to the best of music, song and dance from across the provinces, and further afield.

Viewers are treated to a wealth of musical talent in the show and this weekend musicians from Cavan and Monaghan will be featured. Some of the Cavan and Monaghan musicians and singers selected include Katie Boyle, Seamus Fay, Pat McCabe, Naomi Smith, Karen McMahon and Martin Donohoe.

Fleadhfest ’21 is a celebration of 70 years of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann. Tune in to TG4 on Sunday, July 18 at 9.30pm.
