High pressure bringing dry, warm and sunny weather for the weekend and into the start of next week. Warm and humid nights too.

Mostly cloudy and misty this morning but the cloud will thin as the day goes on with sunny spells developing in most areas. It will stay a bit cloudier in the west and northwest, bringing a little patchy drizzle at times and keeping maximum temperatures around 19 or 20 degrees. It will be warmer elsewhere, with temperatures reaching 22 to 25 degrees. Winds will be light and from a west to northwest or variable direction.

Tonight there will be a mix of cloud and clear spells. It will be mostly dry, although there is a chance of some patchy drizzle near west and northwest coasts. Some mist and fog will develop in light, variable breezes. Mild and humid with temperatures not falling below 11 to 16 degrees, mildest in Leinster.

There'll be some cloud around on Friday morning, especially in the west and northwest where there may be some patches of drizzle and mist. Sunny spells will develop as the day goes on and it will be warm with temperatures reaching 21 to 25 degrees. It will be a little cooler around the coast as sea breezes develop. Winds will be light, north to northwest or variable in direction.

Conditions Friday night will be dry with clear spells and minimum temperatures between 11 and 15 degrees. Mist and fog will develop in light, variable winds.

The weather this weekend - on both Saturday and Sunday, will be dry and very warm with long spells of sunshine and light breezes. Daytime temperatures will reach 23 to 27 degrees, although it will be cooler along the coast as sea breezes develop. Dry and clear by night, although some patches of mist and fog will form in light winds. Temperatures at night not falling below 11 to 15 degrees.

Monday will be another dry, sunny and very warm day, with temperatures reaching 23 to 27 degrees. Again, it will be slightly cooler near coasts due to a sea breeze. Otherwise, winds will be light and variable. It will stay dry through Monday night, but some mist and fog patches will form. Temperatures on Monday night not falling below 11 to 15 degrees.

There is some uncertainty in the forecast from Tuesday, but it looks like the majority of the country will see another dry, sunny and very warm day on Tuesday with maximum temperatures of 22 to 27 degrees. However, cloudier conditions with some patchy light rain are possible in northern areas, with temperatures here reaching 18 to 21 degrees.
