Perk up your home at Tile Depot
Richie Smith of Tile Depot in Lismeen, Ballyjamesduff, is the owner of the family business that is meeting the customers needs with the highest quality, beautifully designed tiles since 2003.
Tile Depot has built a reputation of excellence over the last 18 years by supplying clients with superior tiles at a very competitive price: “Things are going well, we have new displays coming in that we are sure will be very popular with he people coming through our doors,” Richie told the Celt.
The last year has presented many challenges: “We were closed for the first lockdown, that was tough. When things opened up we were delighted to see some of our loyal customers return, that was very important to us and we appreciate that they chose to shop locally,” Richie tells.
As many families look to perk up their home with new ideas, Richie has everything they need on the tile front. Tiles are a stylish way to breathe life into your home, with a host of different shapes, colours, prints and patterns to choose from.
The business owner says visitors to the shop will be in for a treat: “We have been working to get the shop revamped. We have brought in new stock, we have new displays, and there are lots of new styles and colours. Tile trends for this year are very exciting.
“In the last couple of months there was pick up in the business. People have been spending a bit more, I suppose they have been saving because there is not much else to do. The foreign travel restrictions have also made people realise what they have here in Ireland and part of that is creating a pleasant environment in your own home. Tiles can totally change a home,” Richie explained.
The Tile Depot owner continues: “Many of our suppliers are from Spain and Italy. One is Atlas Concorde who since 1969 has established itself as one of the leading brands in the global ceramic tile. They are world leaders in design and manufacture.”
“In our showroom we showcase the range of vibrant colours they are bringing to the market. The future is looking bright in tiles,” he laughs.
Richie says he can’t wait to greet customers returning to the Ballyjamesduff retail outlet over the next few weeks. “We are looking forward to welcoming more customers back and giving them the opportunity to go through the wide range of tiles we have on offer,” he concluded.
